Release 4.2 Enhancements Announcements
The myTurf team values customer input and many of you have not been shy about asking for functionality you would like to see. We always welcome and value your comments and remain committed to continuously improving myTurf.
Many of you have requested enhancements, and we are happy to announce that on June 7th, we will deploy the latest release of myTurf with the following enhancements:
Report modifications & additions - please check out the Reports Page to see a lot of new, exciting reports, such as:
Equipment Asset Inventory - lists all the equipment you have in one report
Equipment Maintenance History - a lot like a 'car fax' report for Turf Equipment
Fleet Maintenance Cost - a great report to use when you want to know what your entire fleet is costing you. This report is very handy at budget and planning meetings.
Work Orders by Task / Labor - this reports lets you easily find any repair you may have done and lets you sort work by mechanic.
And many more
General & Administrative
Ability to edit Usernames - as new personnel arrives at your facility, you will now be able to request their own user name. User names for those no longer at your facility will be able to be deleted without losing equipment history.
Asset Tracking
Added CARB attributes - For those of you in states that require tracking engine emissions, myTurf will now let you track these in the Asset report.
Many Service Schedule enhancements have been made; among them are:
Copy service schedule to include inactive, modified and custom status.
Edit service schedule parts pricing & quantities. Now, when you add or modify a task in the service schedule, you can add the price for the part and the quantity required. This way you do it once and use it many times in Work Orders.
Work Order & Inventory Functionality
You can now enter decimals in the Equipment downtime text entry field in Work Order
The system will now remember your chosen inventory sort order and will keep it even after logging off.
Printing enhancements
Your Inventory report will now display part prices.
The Inventory BIN # will now be shown in the Work Order print view.
Added status icons (green, red, blue) to Service Schedule print view
TCO Calculator enhancements (myTurf TCO only)
Included acquisition costs in TCO Calculator
The system will retain the Acquisition costs in the TCO Calculator, so you only enter them once
Important: Wireless Hour Meter Power Supply Requirements
Important: Wireless Hour Meter power supply requirements
The myTurf Wireless Hour Meter is designed to operate on a 12 volt DC power source (standard 12 volt DC electrical systems on all equipment). Voltage in excess of 16 volts DC will damage the Wireless Hour Meter. For installation on electric vehicles which operate at higher voltages (24 or 48 volt systems), a 12 volt DC power supply to the Wireless Hour Meter is required.

Introducing the new myTurf Wireless System Functionality - January 11, 2010
We are happy to announce that today we deployed the myTurf software elements necessary to support the new myTurf Wireless System Hardware. We will announce Hardware availability shortly - please check back soon.
The new myTurf Wireless System automatically transmits current equipment meter readings to myTurf, eliminating the need for manual meter reading and data entry. myTurf Wireless Hour Meters installed on each piece of equipment automatically capture and send machine hours to a myTurf BaseStation located in your maintenance facility. These hours are then transferred to your myTurf system via the Internet. The myTurf system uses this information to automatically alert you when maintenance is due. The myTurf Wireless System saves time, increases efficiency and ensures preventive maintenance is done in a timely manner. The myTurf BaseStation, myTurf Repeater and myTurf Wireless Hour Meter may be ordered only from your Toro Distributor. Please wait until we announce it before placing orders.
Available for any myTurf Subscription Level & Multiple Equipment Types
The myTurf Wireless System can be used with any myTurf Subscription; myTurf Fleet, myTurf PM and myTurf TCO. The myTurf Wireless Hour Meter can be fitted on new or existing equipment - even non-Toro units. The meters are easy to install and report hours to myTurf within 250 feet of the myTurf BaseStation
What is needed before ordering a myTurf Wireless System:
- Any myTurf subscription
- Please enable your myTurf account for wireless by contacting the myTurf Support team at Toro NSN (required for system configuration). You may use the chat feature right from your myTurf account or call the 800 number shown in your myTurf support portlet.
- An open, live Ethernet jack with Internet access - it's best to test it ahead of time. A hub can provide more open ports if needed.
- A copy of the "Toro myTurf BaseStation Internet Connection Overview" to clear the system with your IT department (firewalls, etc.). This document is available right in your myTurf account - in the myTurf Wireless Page, in the "Wireless Hour Meter Home Page Training" portlet.
- Idea of site layout and best place for BaseStation (to see if Repeater will be needed). To assist you in this task, please watch the video clip in the myTurf Wireless Page, in the "Animation" portlet.
